According to Fars News Agency, the music management of Tehran Municipality Cultural and Artistic Organization, with the participation of Andisheh Cultural Center, is holding a special program to commemorate the first anniversary of Abdolvahab Shahidi’s death, entitled “My Oud”.

Shahidi completed his primary education in his hometown and the rest in Tehran, and in 1318 he entered the service of education. In 1320, after completing his military service, he was recruited as an instrumentalist in the army. He performed and performed (Flowers and Nightingales from Hafez’s poems) and learned to play the dulcimer, oud and learn singing in the Barbad community class, which was run under the supervision of Professor Ismail Mehrtash. In 1339, he started his collaboration on the radio with the program “Golha” and until 1357, he participated in many of these programs and left many works during this period. He filled seven pages of 33 solo circuses and traveled to France, England, USA, Germany and Afghanistan to get acquainted with the original and traditional music of Iran. was with us.
Shahidi had a lot of respect for his master of singing, Ismail Mehrtash, and then for masters such as: Morteza Mahjoubi, Mehdi Khaledi, Habibaullah Badiei, Ali Tajvidi, Parviz Yahaghi, Hossein Tehrani, Reza Varzandeh, Faramarz Payvar, Asghar Bari, Hassan Someone loved Hassan Nahid and Jalil Shahnaz. Among the songs he sang, he was most interested in the local song “Anne Negham Gar To” composed by Faramarz Payvar and written by Homa Mir Afshar.
Shahidi, along with Hossein Ghavami and Akbar Golpayegani, are the only singers who have participated in all series of flower programs, including immortal flowers, green leaves, colorful flowers, a branch of flowers, fresh flowers, and Iranian music. He was one of the first singers of Golha program who, together with Banan, Ghavami and Golpa, performed Golha Javidan program with the cooperation of the best musicians of that time. He has participated in Shiraz Art Festival several times and in these programs he has given pure performances in collaboration with professors Jalil Shahnaz, Faramarz Payvar, Asghar Bahari, Hossein Tehrani, Rahmatollah Badiei, Hassan Nahid and Mohammad Ismaili, etc. Shahidi had a special effort in performing Bakhtiari local songs and songs. Abdul Wahab Shahidi died at the age of 99.
