“Painter of Paradise” turned 92 / The works of Hossein Mahjoubi speak of peace


According to Fars News Agency, the 92nd birthday of Hossein Mahjubi, a famous painter and architect of our country, was celebrated on the evening of Friday, May 13, at the Saadabad Historical and Cultural Complex.

In this program, which was accompanied by the exhibition of works by Professor Mahjoubi nicknamed “The Role of Paradise” at the Saadabad Museum of Fine Arts, Saeed Ouhadi (Deputy Minister of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts) and Abbas Araghchi (Secretary of the Council on Foreign Relations of Iran) with a group of artists And political and cultural figures were present.

In this ceremony, Ouhadi considered Mahjoubi works as a symbol of resistance and peace and taken from his pure thought and said: “This program has been prepared in gratitude for more than 60 years of services and efforts of this esteemed master and works for Iranian civilization and future generations in memory.” They left.

Abbas Araghchi was another speaker on the program, emphasizing his appreciation for what he had during his lifetime, adding: “I am not an expert in art and painting, but as an art lover, I see the element of peace in all the works of Master Mahjoubi.” In none of his works does he depict nature as rebellious and there is peace and harmony between all the components.

He pointed out that the main feature of Master Mahjoubi’s paintings is nature and the two elements of tree and horse, which are repeated in most of the works, and said: This is a very interesting and meaningful event; The tree is a symbol of growth and development and the horse, especially the wild horse, is a symbol of honor, pride and freedom, and the combination of the two in the works of the master has always been peacefully placed in one scene.

Yadollah Kaboli, the enduring face of calligraphy, also said in a short speech: “In the world of art, individual innovation and personal components are the secret of permanence, and Master Mahjoubi has this secret.” His works are sacred and none of these more than a thousand works are similar and are depicted in perfect art.

At the end of the ceremony, a plaque of appreciation for a lifetime of activity and creation of new works and ideas was presented to Professor Hossein Mahjoubi on behalf of Seyed Ezatullah Zarghami, Minister of Cultural Heritage and Tourism. The ambassadors of Russia, Italy, South Korea, Ukraine, Romania, Japan, etc. were among the other guests of the ceremony.
