Participation of 5 countries in the Hamedan International Theater Festival for Children and Adolescents

According to Fars News Agency, citing the public relations of the 27th Hamadan International Festival of Children and Adolescent Theater, the Director General of Islamic Culture and Guidance of Hamadan Province announced the presence of artists from five countries in the International Festival of Children and Adolescent Theater.

Last year, the festival’s date was changed and delayed due to the corona outbreak.

He stated that the 27th festival will be held from July 1 to 6 in the old city of Hamedan, and said: the proper holding of the festival requires coordination between the relevant agencies.

Pointing out that the motto of this year’s festival is “Theater is the flight of imaginary butterflies”, he added: “The purpose of this motto is to support creative works of art and educate the next generation based on Iranian and Islamic principles.”

He considered the Hamedan International Festival of Children and Adolescent Theater as one of the 16 prestigious international events in the field of theater and said: “Holding the festival is a turning point in terms of being seen in the province and city of Hamedan and attracting international funds.”

He further mentioned the two competitive and non-competitive sections of the festival and added: The competitive group includes the sections of children, children, teenagers, playground and play reading and the non-competitive group includes the sections of international, inclusive theater, guest, research, workshops, critique and review. .

The director of the 27th Hamedan International Children and Adolescent Theater Festival announced that five countries: Italy, Armenia, Greece, Turkey and Iraq are participating in the festival: About 70 theater groups have entered the 27th Hamedan International Children and Adolescent Theater Festival.

Emphasizing that decentralization from the center of the province and the expansion of works in all cities is one of the goals of the festival, he said: “During the festival, we pay special attention to local artists and side programs have been considered to improve their artistic level.”

He said that the biggest goal of the festival is to spread the enthusiasm and vitality of children and said: the presence of international personalities in the festival is a good opportunity to improve the scientific and educational level of the province’s artists.

He added: “Performing street plays, main sections, simultaneous broadcasting of the festival through television and live broadcast of talk shows in cyberspace and some television networks are the features of this period of the festival.”

He added: 10 performance halls in the city of Hamedan and 29 halls in all cities are intended for performances of the 27th International Festival of Children and Adolescent Theater.

He stated that two yards are also intended for street theater, adding: the public opening ceremony will be held on 31 June and the closing ceremony will be held on 6 July.

The political and security deputy governor of Hamedan, while emphasizing the participation of the executive organs of the province in holding the festival, said: “The capacity of the province to host various festivals is high and there is experience, ability, science and manpower to hold events in Hamedan.”

Hassan Rezania considered the Hamedan International Festival of Children and Adolescent Theater as an opportunity for the province and added: “Capacities should be upgraded in holding the festival so that the capacities reach the eyes of the world and other provinces.”

Emphasizing that during the festival we should not allow the margins to dominate the text and raising the level of Iranian-Islamic culture is one of the goals of Hamedan as the host of the festival, he added: we should strengthen the original and pure Islamic culture, Iranians in festivals.

The political and security deputy governor of Hamedan considered the performance of Islamic rituals along with happy programs necessary and said: the festival should have positive feedback and strengthen the level of culture, in addition to observing the events in this atmosphere is considered an important principle.

He stated that the value and spiritual issues of the works should be strengthened and the tourist attractions of the province should be used during the festival, adding that serious attention should be paid to the deprived areas and the outskirts of the city.

The 27th International Festival of Children and Adolescent Theater will be held under the auspices of Amir Mashhadi Abbas from July 1 to 6 in the ancient city of Hamadan.
