He predicted: By the end of May this year, pasta in warehouses will be offered at the same price as last year.
The victim called the current shortage of pasta in the market temporary and the result of the announcement of a new price of 12,000 tomans per kilogram of quota flour for the guild and industry.
He added: “Price reform or any new policy adopted by the government has consequences and may cause stress to the people, and therefore the people buy in excess of their needs.”
The Deputy Minister of Planning and Economy of the Ministry of Jihad for Agriculture stated: Pasta producers have also assured that they have no problem in producing and supplying this product.

* 200% increase in flour smuggling

He pointed out that last year the price of each kilogram of pasta flour was 2700 Tomans and this price has reached 12 thousand Tomans since the beginning of this year after correction.
The victim stated that out of two million tons of wheat produced last year, 250,000 tons were smuggled, acknowledging that the smuggling of wheat and flour has increased by 200 percent compared to 1999.

He continued: “On the other hand, subsidized flour is exported in the form of pasta, biscuits and chocolate, and according to Iranian customs statistics, about 250,000 tons of subsidized flour is exported annually.”
The victim also pointed to a waste of 20 to 35 percent of wheat per year; We also smuggle undiscovered wheat and flour every year, which is transported to neighboring countries through various channels.
He said that subsidies to domestic wheat, shortages of production due to drought and rising world prices following the Russia-Ukraine war, have made the smuggling of this product from the country attractive.

“Russia and Ukraine supply 20 percent of the world’s grain, and with the war between the two countries, in fact, 20 percent of world supply has been reduced,” the victim said at the economic table.
He added: “Given that cereal cultivation in Ukraine has stopped this year due to the war, the consequences of this crisis are expected to continue for the next five years.
At the same time, the Deputy Minister of Planning and Economy of the Ministry of Jihad for Agriculture pointed to the change in trade and production policies of European countries and some countries in the region and said: We have upgraded in advance and therefore we have no problem in supplying grain.

* Provision of 71 thousand billion tomans for wheat subsidies

The victim also assured the people about the price of bread that the price of traditional bread will not change.
He continued: the amount of bread consumption per capita of Iranian households is known and according to it, the necessary design has been done to supply the required wheat.
The official said that the Islamic Consultative Assembly has provided a subsidy of 71,000 billion tomans in this regard, adding: “People can buy traditional bread at the same price as before.”
Regarding the reason for the government to reform the price of wheat and flour, he clarified: “Walls and physical clashes to prevent the smuggling of these products are not the answer, while neighboring countries are vacuuming Iran’s wheat and flour subsidies.”
He described the government’s action in reforming and realizing the price of wheat and flour as courageous and said: “In the current situation, we must reform the prices, because with this fundamental measure and prevention of smuggling, subsidies instead of on the table of neighboring countries.” Go, he will go to the table of the Iranian people.
Approval of 200 billion tomans of soybean planting subsidies
The victim went on to point out another measure to support farmers and acknowledged: “Apart from changing the policies resulting from changes in exchange rates and world prices, the Ministry of Jihad for Agriculture has prepared a complementary and good policy called planting subsidies.”
He added: “According to this policy, in order to increase production incentives, farmers will be paid a gratuitous amount per hectare of wheat, rapeseed and soybean cultivation.”
The Deputy Minister of Planning and Economy of the Ministry of Jihad for Agriculture pointed out: In the first phase, two weeks ago, the pricing council and the adoption of support policies for basic products approved a subsidy for soybean planting up to 200 billion tomans.
