Howreh Shahinpour, the leader of the Mahabad Makriani band, said on the sidelines of the regional music festival: “The music of our band is for the Makran region.” The work we performed today is for parties and weddings. The first thing that should be done is to preserve the authenticity of the instruments, including the shamshal and tonbak. The performance of the instrument should not deviate from its originality. When the technique of other instruments is added to the instrument, the originality is lost.

Referring to the diversity of music in the regions, he continued: “Nowhere in the world has such a variety of music as our country.” This festival causes the exchange of information between performers and music supervisors.

Iraj Khodavardi, head of Meshkin Shahr’s Aashiq groups, said about the performance of Aashiqs at the district music festival: “The song that was performed was for my beloved country, Iran.” In the music of Ashiqlar, the advice, war, Ostad Namah, etc. are performed in the form of happy music. In this music festival, there are all ethnic groups that make all groups interact with each other.

He continued: “When we hold a meeting, in which we recite the names of God, our messengers and our imams, our instrument is sacred compared to other instruments, which should be preserved.” There are many professors in Meshkin Shahr who should be used. The secret of preserving the music of lovers is the use of advice that has attracted young people.

Khodavardi added: I am also an instrument maker and I have made my own instrument and I am teaching young people. Thank God, the government supports our art and our artists are members of the artists’ fund and insured.

It is better to entrust the work to expert teachers

Adel Kamali, head of the Kermanshah Tanbur group, said at the district music festival: We form a 6-member group that praises Mullah Ali (AS) in our performances. The music festival of the regions of Iran has a special grandeur, due to the vastness of Iran. Just as we have a lot of diversity in nature, musical climates are also refreshing and diverse.

He pointed out: the approach followed by the music festival of the regions is a very good approach. Of course, provided that it continues; In this case, we will return to our cultural authenticity. The young people of our region follow the elders and play these instruments, but due to the ancient authorities who have these instruments and the young people are a little different in terms of accent and place of residence, it is not 100% authentic.

The leader of the tanbur group added: “Festivals are being held. It is a positive event from the government that is being held.” But it is better to entrust the work to experts in this field. Our artists have become members of the Art Fund and we have been supported, but these supports should be increased.
