Payment of 180 billion government debt to social security

He added: If we take a general look at the governance of social security in the Islamic Republic, we will find that after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, there has been a revolution in the provision of welfare and social services.
The CEO of the Social Security Organization stated that before the revolution, about 20% of the population of 35 million people were covered by insurance, but today, thanks to the revolution, more than 73% of the population of 85 million are covered by social insurance, and said: In the 13th government, about six Up to seven million people in the health insurance organization, this number is close to 100 percent.
Mousavi continued: Before the revolution, the access to more resources and the support ratio was 22 to 1 and now it has reached 4.2 to 1, but still the accesses are not comparable and now more than 50% of the society is covered by us. Before the revolution, pensions and other services were provided to 80,000 retirees, but today, despite all the challenges we face, the development of services has been prioritized.
Pointing out that we are opening 78 projects in 23 provinces today, he said: Hedayat Hospital, Langrod Hospital and the development of Hakim Jurjani Hospital in Gorgan are among them, more than 250 new beds, 39 ICU beds, 10 CCU beds. And 15 NICU beds have been added to hospital beds. More than 2000 hospital beds will be opened this year and next year. The riyal value of the projects is 39 thousand billion riyals and it has become the factor of job creation for 1100 tons. We will have 10 clinics in the farthest places and 33 cities will benefit from all the projects.
The CEO of the Social Security Organization, pointing out that we have contracts with more than 50,000 centers in the field of treatment, said: “Good things have happened in this short period of time.” The electronic version has been implemented as a resource management infrastructure and referral system, and now we have made more than 95% progress in it. We launched 180 diabetes centers and blood pressure clinics, which were five at the beginning of the 13th government. We had an 80% increase in commitment in the field of supplementary insurance premiums for retirees and a 120% increase in the share of resources.
Mousavi added: We were with the Ministry of Health in Darvar project. 243 types of drugs were covered, including drugs for incurable patients, specialized drugs for infertility. Treatment deductible for 65 years and above in all government centers in cities without private centers became zero. We provide outpatient services to more than one million people and inpatient services to 13,000 people every day, and the development of direct treatment infrastructure has been considered.
He continued: The Hedayat Hospital project lasted for more than eight years, at the beginning of the government, we considered good resources, and this year we had a 114% growth in treatment projects, and the growth of project implementation has reached a good level.
The CEO of the Social Security Organization also pointed to the payment of the government’s debts to the social security and said: In this government, the debt payment amounted to 180 thousand billion tomans. We were a huge bank debtor and we were able to settle 88 thousand billion tomans of our bank debt. 1300 billion tomans was the cost of our monthly bank debt.
