Performance of impersonation and Ashurai curtain reading at the venue of Sadbazar handicrafts



According to the report of Aria’s heritage reporter, the traditional Naqali ceremony as well as the traditional Ashurai veiling ceremony was held today, Thursday, August 20, 1401, at the venue of Sadbazar Handicrafts in Tehran, which was welcomed by enthusiasts and visitors to this market.

A mock ceremony was performed by Murshid Varmziar and Ashurai reading was performed by Ostad Talaniya on the occasion of the arrival of the month of Muharram.

Curtain reading is a ceremony that refers to historical, ritual, and religious ceremonies, and these quotes are performed on a painted curtain, which is one of the fields of traditional arts and crafts.

This performance started before noon today and ended before the noon call to prayer.

In fact, this ceremony was a link between handicrafts and Muharram ceremonies and rituals, and the purpose of holding this ceremony is to show the place of traditional arts and crafts in the narration of Ashura and the month of Muharram.

The purpose of creating these bazaars is to facilitate the communication of producers and sellers of handicrafts with buyers and visitors, as well as direct supply of products at production prices to consumers.

Handicraft Bazaar is organized by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts every Thursday in Tehran.
