Persepolis in the Mariinsky Opera

According to Fars news agency, on Thursday, the 6th of Bahman, Ali conducted the Iranian symphonic subjects of Taleb Khan Shahidi, which the composer calls “Takht Jamshid Collection”, with the great symphony orchestra of Mariinsky Theater of St. Petersburg.
Taleb Khan Shahidi is one of the Iranian composers of Tajik origin, most of his works have Iranian subjects and are often performed by world-famous orchestras.
Ali Darari, the former artistic director of symphonic orchestras in Brussels, Prague, Zagreb and Malaga, who came to Iran for a short period of time after 30 years away from his homeland, met Talib Khan Shahidi in Tehran.
Conductor Ali, who now works as a regular guest conductor alongside Valery Gergiev with the Mariinsky Symphony Orchestra, presents a series called “Eastern and Western Music” with 12 concerts a year, in which the works of Eastern and Western composers are performed side by side.
Takht Jamshid was the eighth program conducted by Ali in the last 7 months, which has received special attention from Mariinsky Opera audiences.
