Planting of 1,500 saplings in the roads of Ashurade Island in Golestan province

According to Aria Heritage report, quoting the public relations of Golestan Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Directorate General, Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini announced this news and said: Paving operation of 4000 square meters of the sidewalks of this village is underway with 75% physical progress and with the coordination of natural resources in line with the planting plan of 1 billion In the coming days, 1,500 saplings will be planted in the streets of this village.

The director general of Golestan Housing Foundation emphasized: In the implementation of the road improvement plan of Ashuradeh village, all the trees and shrubs have been preserved and the materials used in this project are in accordance with the ecology of the region.

He considered the plan to revive the old village of Ashuradeh and the tourism plan of the island as an important step in the direction of the tourism development of Golestan and added: If the tourism plan of Ashuradeh village had been carried out 20 years ago, today Ashuradeh Island would be one of the important tourism poles of this province.

Ashuradeh Island is the only inhabitable island in the Caspian Sea and the nature tourism process of the island is carried out in the area of 22 hectares and according to the issued permits, overnight stay will also be done in the old context of Ashuradeh village, and with the final ruling of the court, the issuance of ecotourism permits will also be speeded up. And better ease will be done.

The forced migration of the native inhabitants of Ashuradeh Island and the transfer of the lands of this village to natural resources in 1371 caused the implementation of the tourism plan in the only Iranian island of the Caspian Sea with a 25-year gap and turned the island that could have brought tourism to the province into an abandoned island.

After Ayatollah Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi’s visit to Golestan in 1400 and his presence on Ashuradeh Island, the development of tourism on this island accelerated, but every time due to some reasons, the development process was interrupted or stopped in some cases, and finally the charm of this project The defeat and jihadist courage of the 13th government reached the stage of implementation.

Ashuradeh is located 2 kilometers west of Turkmen port in the west of Golestan province, and the only way for tourists to access this area is by boat.
