According to IRNA; The 2021 Asian Karate Championships in all age categories (teenagers, youth, hope and adults) in the two categories of kata and komita, which started on Saturday hosted by Almaty, Kazakhstan, ended today, Wednesday, with the final of the team committee.
In the final of the men’s team committee, the students of “Shahram Heravi”, who had won the championship and the gold medal in the last three rounds, faced the host and lost by a score of three to one. With these descriptions, the Iranian team was content with a silver medal to ruin the poker dream.
The Kazakh team benefited from the support of the referees in the final match, and it was clear from the way the referees were scoring that the experienced and titled Iranian players such as Ganjzadeh, Pourshib and Baban did not perform well in their fights.
In the first bout, Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Sajjad Ganjzadeh lost 6-1 to his opponent, ending 7-6 to lose in disbelief.
Then “Mahdi Khodabakhshi” as the second representative of Iran went on the tatami and won seven to two to equal the overall result of one to one.
In the third bout, Iranian team captain Zabihullah Pourshib, who had won individual gold an hour earlier, lost 5-4 to the host team to give Kazakhstan a two-on-one lead.
“Keyvan Baban” was the fourth representative of Iran who also had nothing to say and lost by a score of 10 to three.
