Politico: Israel does not stop pressuring the US to oppose the revival of the nuclear deal

According to IRNA, the report of this publication states: “Eyal Holata”, Israel’s security adviser, met with his American counterpart, Jake Sullivan, on Tuesday in order to raise Tel Aviv’s concerns about the recent draft to revive the 2015 agreement. In this regard, Israeli War Minister Benny Gantz will meet and talk with Sullivan on Friday in Washington.

Stating that the White House will not change its opinion, Politico pointed to the White House’s statement late on Tuesday and wrote: In this statement, Sullivan stated his firm commitment to maintain and strengthen Israel’s ability to deter and defend itself, and also A new claim has been made that Washington is committed to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

According to Politico, in line with the Zionist regime’s pressure on the United States not to return to the nuclear agreement, the former Prime Minister of this regime, Naftali Bennett, asked Washington to withdraw from the negotiations “even now at the last minute” in a series of tweets.

Bennett has also claimed that Tel Aviv is not a part of this agreement and is not committed to any of the restrictions resulting from the agreement and will use all available tools to prevent the progress of Iran’s nuclear program.

This report adds: After the withdrawal of former US President Donald Trump from the agreement that had been worked for for years, the Biden administration put the decision to return to the agreement on the agenda. After about a year and a half and long breaks in between, Biden’s envoys had a conversation with Iranian officials about the revival of the agreement in indirect negotiations.

Iran has responded to the European Union’s proposed draft on revitalizing the agreement, and American officials are reviewing and preparing their response, which may be sent to European negotiators later this week. In this regard, Politico magazine wrote: America has been consulting with its allies, including Israel, before sending a response, but it is not clear whether it will wait until after Gantz’s meeting with Sullivan (to send a response) or not.

Referring to the very chaotic and unstable situation of the Zionist regime’s political system, this publication added: Israeli authorities are exerting pressure at a critical time; Currently, the government is moving things forward and soon the fifth election will be held in less than four years.

The actions of the government to advance affairs in the occupied territories can be predicted in the direction of political goals to win votes in the upcoming elections, although the interference of the Zionist regime in disrupting the nuclear agreement and trying to withdraw the European parties of the JCPOA from this agreement during the years of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government cannot be forgotten
