Pouria Shakibaei with a new show at Iran Artists House



The play “When we have tortured each other as much as we should” written by Martin Krimp, translated by Khatire Kurd Karimi and directed by Mojtaba Jedid, started its performances last night, December 28, at the Ostad Tazami Hall of Iran Artists House.

Charso Press: According to the public relations of the group, this play will be staged with (actors in the order of entering the stage): Pouria Shakibaei, Nazanin Hashemdar, Parisa Hashempour, Paryosh Haji Qadiri, Nika Zarani, Metin Makhtomi, Alireza Lotfizadeh.
This play is an adaptation of the novel “Pamela or the Reward of Chastity” written by Samuel Richardson. The British writer Martin Crimp is considered one of the most prominent contemporary playwrights in the world, and the literary critics of the world have considered him among postmodern writers and aggressive theater.

Among the actors of this show are graphic designer: Vahid Razzaghi, stage designer: Periyosh Haji Qadiri, costume designer: Aisen Agh Atabai, lighting designer: Nazanin Yarovisi, video production: Yousef Javan Araste, assistant directors: Abolfazl Karimzadeh and Alireza Lotfizadeh. Decoration: Mohammad Abedi Nasab and Public Relations Manager: Amir Parsaian-Mehr pointed out.

Before this, Mojtaba Jedi has the experience of directing shows such as “Sadat Shirzan Merman Tir Roz”, “Afghani Oedipus”, “Eyes Closed From Sleep”, “Recent Experiences”, “Aman” and… in his career. He has also staged the play “Attack on the life of that woman” by the same author for the first time in Iran.
The show “When we have tortured each other as much as we should” is staged every night at 18:30 in the police hall of Iran’s artists’ house.
