According to Tejarat News, the head of the Tax Affairs Organization announced the organization’s readiness to collect taxes from empty houses.

Seyedhadi Sobanyan wrote on his personal page on Twitter: “Keeping the house empty and hoarding it by some people is one of the reasons for the decrease in supply and increase in housing prices and rents. The Tax Affairs Organization is in accordance with the law and based on the information received from the Ministry of Roads and Urbanization (real estate and housing system) has put tax collection from empty houses on its agenda.

Owners of empty houses receive a written warning

The Governor of Tehran said: “Some of the Mehr housing projects in Parand and Pardis, which were built with the aim of compensating for the general needs of the people in the field of housing, are still empty due to the lack of proper distribution.”

Referring to the reason why some houses are empty in Parand and Pardis, he added: One of the reasons for this issue is the lack of proper distribution of housing because some irresponsible people in a speculative atmosphere bought these houses at different times from those who volunteered to buy these units and are part of the tithe. There were those who used the facilities, they caused these houses to be among the empty houses that the law should be applied to and taxes should be collected.

The Governor of Tehran stated: Full identification of such units and written warning to the last owners are on the agenda so that these units are put into use and we distance ourselves from the speculative space of housing.

Fakhari continued: The latest status of the national housing movement and the progress of the plan and the reason for the slowness of their activities were also examined and the necessary orders were issued to the institutions.

He pointed out: We have a shortage of land in Tehran province, and on the other hand, part of the land shortage can be compensated through reconstruction. We are facing dilapidated structures in Tehran and some satellite cities, which should be done in the reconstruction of construction and the share of land supply. be compensated in this way in Tehran province.
