According to Fars News Agency, with the end of the deadline for sending works to the secretariat of the 16th Fajr Visual Arts Festival, Amir Abdul Hosseini, the secretary general of the 16th Fajr Festival, presented a report on the quantity and quality of the works received and the participants present in this artistic event.

General Secretary of Fajr Shazdham announced that 10076 works of 3429 artists applying to participate in this art event have reached the festival secretariat, and said: In the free competitive section, the most submitted works are related to the participants in the field of photography, which is a total of 2315 works, including 1886 single photos and 429 collections. He added: From the perspective of the gender composition of the artists applying to participate in Fajr 16th, 2042 of the participants are women artists and 1387 are men.

Abdul Hosseini continued: In terms of the participation of artists from different provinces, Tehran province is in the first place and after that, Isfahan, Khorasan Razavi, Alborz, Qom, East Azarbaijan, Fars and Mazandaran provinces are in the next ranks respectively.

The Secretary General of the 16th Fajr Visual Arts Festival also announced the beginning of the process of selecting the works of artists applying to participate in the 16th Fajr Festival and said: the selection and judging sessions of the works of art will be held in the presence of the secretary and judges of each department at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts, and the process of judging and evaluating the works has been completed. It will continue to the secretariat until the second week of December.
