President of the Republic of China: We want to develop strategic and comprehensive cooperation between Beijing and Tehran



According to IRNA’s “China Daily” newspaper on Saturday, Chinese President Xi Jinping, in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, spoke about the strengthening of relations between the two countries and the development of strategic cooperation between Beijing and Tehran.

The President of the Republic of China said that facing the complex international conditions, Iran and China are strengthening cooperation and solidarity in line with the common interests and legitimate rights of developing countries. He also added that China views its relations with Iran from a strategic point of view and Beijing is willing to take necessary measures for comprehensive cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries.

Xi Jinping called for maintaining close relations with Iran and for coordination and cooperation in key fields in an urgent manner. He emphasized the continuation of cooperation from the fight against the corona virus epidemic to cooperation in regional and global issues.

In this way, the President of China acknowledged that his country always supports the countries of the Middle East to solve the security issues of this region so that the people of the Middle East can find their own path of progress.

He praised Iran for its active support of the “Global Development Initiative” and “Global Security Initiative” and called for joint bilateral plans for a rational world order with Iran.

In a one-hour telephone conversation, the presidents of Iran and China discussed major international and regional developments and emphasized on strengthening bilateral cooperation as much as possible.
