Press conference of the Children’s Mosque Children’s Theater Educational Event / Unveiling of 11 plays and the presence of 400 instructors across the country

According to the Fars News Agency Theater Reporter, the director of the Center for Performing Arts in a press conference stated that the purpose of the mosque children’s theater is to discover the talents of teenagers and young enthusiasts across the country, said: Not and theater is not for everyone and only belongs to a certain class.

On Monday, May 10, the Amir Hossein Fardi Hall of the Islamic Propaganda Organization hosted a press conference with the presence of Kourosh Zarei, Director of the Center for Performing Arts, Hojjatullah Nazeri, Deputy Director, and Seyed Mostafa Motorchi, Head of the Children’s Office. .

At the beginning of the meeting, Zarei explained about the purpose of the mosque children’s theater: “We provided the conditions for the talents of teenagers and young people all over the country to show their genius.” The Children’s Theater of the Children of the Mosque has been active in the Center for Performing Arts for 5 years, and good things have happened.

He noted: For many years, the slogan “theater for all” has been chanted in Iranian theater, but it has not been implemented and theater is not for everyone and belongs only to a certain group.

The director of the Center for Performing Arts reminded: “We tried to extend the theater in mosques to all sections of society.” Last year, we held a rural theater for mosque children in one of the villages of Hormozgan province. Our products are not only for the provincial centers, but also for the villagers, our target community. The expansion of theater for all sections of society promotes cultural development.

* The children’s theater of the mosque will be the future of Iranian theater
The theater artist continued: “We are not only looking to train the professional theater force, but also to train cultural directors.” We are looking for big goals and we have defined a 9-year vision. According to this document, which is divided into 3 periods of 3 years, it will determine the flow of children in the future mosque and the theatrical flow in the country.

He emphasized: “We will move forward with the mosque children’s theater for the future of Iranian theater and the movement towards a new Islamic civilization.”

* Hojjatollah Nazeri: A research document and a roadmap for the mosque children’s theater have been compiled
Then Hojjatullah Nazeri explained about the formation of the document of the popular theater of the children of the mosque: We started writing a document for the theater of the children of the mosque by the order of Mr. Zarei. The demand of mosque theater groups and the lack of a long-term vision to measure the support and attitudes of managers towards the mosque children’s theater, led to the formation of this document. The mosque children’s theater has a long history, and we need research to use this history to continue in the future. This document is a roadmap for theater directors and activists in the field of mosque children’s theater.

He added: “According to this document, explaining the story of how much theater can be effective at the community level in the first 3 years, talent discovery in the second 3 years and the promotion of mosque children’s theater in the third 3 years.”

In this part of the meeting, Kourosh Zarei reminded: in the third 3 years, the talents developed in the second period will enter the field of professional theater and important theatrical events and will even participate in the international arena of performance.

The director of the Center for Performing Arts stated: Theater is not separate from religion because theater is about human beings, ethics and human issues. Therefore, in the children’s theater of the mosque, there will be works with different subjects, including political, social and humorous works, of course, taking into account the position of the mosque. Theater is nothing but morality.

* The second rural festival of mosque children’s theater will be held
In another part of the meeting, Seyyed Mostafa Motorchi spoke about the various events planned for the Children’s Theater of the Children of the Mosque in 1401 and explained: We had more than 2,480 performances in the country’s mosques. The second program is to hold a series of training events for coaches and the third event is to hold a training workshop for the winners of the 1st and 2nd categories. After these events, we will have the Arbaeen Hosseini Walking Conference. In the second 6 months, we have a series of educational events for the specialized sections of the theater and after that, we have the publication of the call for a series of events, productions and outputs of events, which is to be held during the Islamic Revolution Art Week in 1402 in the form of national festivals. In December of this year, we will hold the second rural festival of mosque children’s theater.

He also said about holding the educational event of the children’s theater of the mosque for the children of mosque teachers: “We started with 300 teachers and now we have reached 400 teachers.” According to the zoning, the event is scheduled to start in Qom province in May and continue in Mazandaran, Qazvin, Isfahan, West Azerbaijan and Tehran provinces, and finally end in Khorasan Razavi province.

Zarei also reminded in this part of the meeting: education at this stage is based on creative theater. These instructors are not left alone and are with us for a period of 3 years and are supported to train teachers in different cities, villages and neighborhoods.

At the end of the meeting, the director of the Center for Performing Arts announced: This year we are leading the 40th anniversary of the conquest of Khorramshahr. Simultaneously with the conquest of Khorramshahr, we are going to unveil 11 plays of the Goldasteh I event at the Khorramshahr Grand Mosque.
