Preventive loss management in fire insurances, residential houses, warehouses


According to the report of financial financial news, citing the public relations and international affairs of the Insurance Research Institute, the research project “Preventive loss management in fire insurance; “Residential houses, warehouses” in the research group of property and liability insurances of the insurance research institute and was written by Maryam Ezniashri, director of the research group of property and liability insurances, in collaboration with Dr. Parisa Rahimkhani, a member of the faculty of Mahalat University.

The most common methods used by insurance companies to face insurance risks and manage their insurance risks is risk transfer through insurance and reinsurance operations. But the results of damage analysis show the existence of capacities and facilities and ways to prevent the occurrence of damage in different sectors. So that preventive loss management, especially in dealing with insurance risks that have low intensity and high frequency, can be one of the best methods of managing that risk, which has been neglected to a large extent.

Considering the importance of this issue, the research project “Preventive loss management in fire insurance; “Residential houses, warehouses” has been compiled in four general sections, including “general plan”, “preventive management of damage in the risk of fire in residential houses”, “preventive management of damage in the risk of fire in warehouses” and “discussion and conclusion” and its purpose is to identify Preventive measures for fire damage in residential buildings and warehouses are related to considering the risk factors.

This research has identified the types of risks in fire risk insurance of residential houses and warehouses and then appropriate and up-to-date solutions to prevent them from occurring.

In this study, a systematic review of the most important studies conducted in the field of fire in residential buildings and warehouses, effective factors and existing safety methods has been done. In the next step, using expert opinions and library studies, prevention and frequency reduction methods as well as controlling the severity of damages caused by the occurrence of each of the risk factors have been calculated and presented. Also, based on bow tie analysis, a general framework for fire risk management in residential buildings and warehouses is developed through the analysis of previous fires.
