Pride and 206 are not low consumption cars/ What is the fuel consumption of the best selling cars in the world?

Online Economy – Parham Karimi; The country’s automobile industry can perhaps be seen as a manifestation of the fate policy in the country; On the one hand, there have been various restrictions on imports and creating a monopoly for them under the pretext of supporting national production, and on the other hand, we have narrowed the field for them with a lot of interventionist policies. The result of such contradictory policies is the current condition of car production in the country; Cars whose technology goes back to the past few decades, and in terms of quality and quantity, have made many consumers flock. Among all the key variables of the car, perhaps the amount of fuel consumption is related to the power of the car’s engine.

For years, many experts consider it as one of the reasons for the high consumption of gasoline in the country, which is the high fuel consumption of domestic cars, as well as the low price of fuel in the country. Even when Iran’s fuel consumption is twice as high as Turkey’s, one of the reasons for this difference can be said to be the best-selling and dominant cars of these two countries. As the best-selling car in the Turkish market, the Fiat Agia consumes about 4.4 liters per 100 km for the production of 95 horsepower, and the Renault Selio, as the second best-selling car in the market, consumes about 5.6 liters per 100 km. km and with this consumption it produces about 90 horsepower.

The situation in European countries is similar and almost no popular cars in European markets consume more than 10 liters per 100 kilometers. For example, the Golf model from the Volkswagen brand is the best-selling car in Germany and consumes 7 liters per 100 kilometers. An interesting point is that the Tiguan car is the second best-selling car in Germany, which consumes only 7 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers to produce 170 horsepower.

In France, Peugeot 208, Citroën C3 and Renault Celio are the three best-selling cars in the French market, with an average consumption of 5.5 liters, and with this low consumption, they can produce 130 to 170 horsepower.

But in our own country, the situation is completely different, and domestically produced cars use a lot of gasoline to produce 60 to 70 horsepower due to old technology. For example, the Pride car consumes 7 liters of gasoline per 100 km to produce only 70 horsepower.

Peugeot 206 Type 2 is one of the best-selling cars in the Iranian market, whose technology was developed in France about 20 years ago, and is now produced in the country with lower quality and facilities than France. To produce 75 horsepower, it consumes 7 It has a liter per 100 km.

Of course, in the announced numbers for domestic cars, it should be kept in mind that the announced numbers from the factory do not match the reality due to poor supervision, and the actual experience of consumers reports higher numbers.
