Prime Minister of Jordan: We welcome relations with Iran

According to Fars News Agency, Jordanian Prime Minister Bashar al-Khasawneh said that Amman welcomes healthy relations with Iran.
Al-Khasauneh said in an interview with “BBC” Arabic channel: “We have never dealt with Iran as a source of threat to our country’s national security.”
He added that “the trend of Iran’s threats against neighboring countries has decreased and we are happy about this”.
According to the network report RussiaThe Prime Minister of Jordan also said that we welcome healthy relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, just as Jordan’s relations with Saudi Arabia are historical and extensive.
In another part of his statement, he mentioned the significant increase in smuggling operations on the northern border of Jordan.
