Production of 1000 wagons in the country this year

According to the economic reporter of Fars news agency, Saeed Jafari said today in a press conference at the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade: The production capacity of wagons in the country is about 3500 wagons per year, but this capacity has not been fully used and this year more than a thousand We produced machines, of course, the import of wagons has also been prevented due to the high production capacities.

Director General of Railway and Marine Industries of the Ministry of Samat stated: In 1400, a part of the capacity was produced, but before that, about 85% of the wagon production capacity was empty.

Jafari added: In the last 40 years, no order has been placed in the locomotive field and there is a cumulative demand, and therefore, in order not to lead to a crisis, approvals have been obtained from the relevant authority so that we can import the domestic production at the same time.

He stated: There is a production capacity of 100 to 120 locomotives per year in the country.

The Director General of Railway and Marine Industries of the Ministry of Security, referring to the production capacity of vessels in the country, stated: In the ship production sector, there is a complete production capacity from small boats to wide-bodied vessels, and we produce and supply everything from small to wide-bodied vessels.

He added: This year, we have repaired 25 vessels and tankers with a capacity of 300,000 tons, and a 115,000-ton vessel related to Venezuela was delivered, and a contract has also been concluded for another vessel.

Jafari stated: Shipping of the Islamic Republic of Iran has also announced its needs in various dimensions, and with the success of the shipping companies, we anticipate that more will be produced in the future.

Regarding the production of metro wagons, he said: There is production capacity in this sector, but if the production is not done, it is because of the lack of orders. The custodian of this matter has not placed an order for reasons such as the budget, and therefore there is a shortage in this field, of course, there is a shortage in other sectors as well.

Director General of Railway and Maritime Industries of the Ministry of Security said: According to the sixth plan, we should have 27 thousand kilometers of railway line by the end of this plan, but now it has reached less than 15 thousand kilometers. It was also supposed to produce 53,000 freight cars in the country, which is less than 27,000 units, and it was also supposed to have 1,650 kilometers of locomotives, of which 534 locomotives are currently running.

He added: There are standards in the field of production of rails and floats that cannot be produced against, and we are not exempt from it.
