Providing banking services to foreigners continues

According to Iran Economist, Mustafa Qamari Wafa, Public Relations Manager of the Central Bank, wrote in a tweet about the bank account of foreign nationals: Following the publication of some content about the restriction of providing banking services to foreign nationals, he informs that card-based services, online shopping and Money transfer through Paya (up to 100 million Rials) is still available for all foreign nationals.
Also, in the coming days and after receiving the identity information of the authorized nationals from the “competent authorities”, other banking services will be provided to the authorized foreign nationals.
According to Fars report, during the past few days, some articles about the ban on the use of bank accounts by foreigners were published on some websites and news agencies.
This morning, Melli and Mellat Banks announced in an announcement that all banking services to foreign natural persons were prohibited until further notice.
