Providing electronic checks in Bank Melli and Bank Mellat soon

to report monetary financial news, Electronic checks are the latest achievement of the banking system in the digital field, which is validated by the digital signature of the provider and has led to the reduction of customers’ visits to banks and saving their time and money.
The popularization of these types of checks gave many benefits; Reducing customer costs such as reducing the cost of commuting to banks and also saving customers’ time is one of the most important benefits of electronic checks.
In addition, tracking digital checks is much easier. Certainly, bounced electronic checks have become much less and customer interactions have improved. In fact, when a person issues an electronic check, the receiving person must also enter his “Hamon” system in order to be able to receive his check and cash it through the virtual system of the bank issuing the check.
So far, electronic checks have been issued by 11 banks, and it is planned that National Bank, as the largest state-owned bank, will operate it.
Recently, Mehran Moharmian, while referring to the same issue (issuance of electronic checks by 11 banks), stated that Mellat and Melli banks will soon join the suppliers of electronic checks; Considering that these two banks have many customers in the banking network, they will have a great impact.
He also announced that soon the number of cashed electronic checks will reach 1000 billion tomans.
According to the announcement of the Central Bank, the electronic check has not yet been operational in the National Bank, and the deputy of the new technologies of the Central Bank said that the last stages of testing are being done in the National Bank and it will be operational soon. Functional tests have been done and currently they are passing security test items, which are particularly sensitive.
I have to say; Based on the latest decisions in the field of electronic checks and with the approval of the additional article 5 to the 7th plan bill and also if approved by the Guardian Council, it is decided that in the third year of implementation of the 7th law, paper checks will be permanently removed from the banking system.
