Putin criticized the assassination of General Soleimani

According to the report of Fars International News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his speech at the Valaday Summit that the western liberal order is the cause of increasing disorder. He said that Russia is an example of a country where different religions and cultures live together.

In a part of his statement criticizing the Western order, he said that the West killed Sardar Soleimani, while he was an official in his country. Putin said the West not only did not deny this, but was proud of it.

According to the Armenian news agency, Putin said: “They killed Soleimani, the Iranian general.” [در نظم غربی] You can treat Soleimani any way you want; Whatever you want, if he is an official of another country.”

He added: “They killed him in the territory of a third country and said, ‘Yes, we killed him.’ What are these things for? Where do we live?”

The US government headed by Donald Trump martyred General Soleimani and a number of his companions near the Baghdad airport on December 13, 2018.

This American action brought international reactions and condemnations. “Agnes Callamard”, the special rapporteur of the United Nations in the field of illegal and arbitrary assassinations in the office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights of this organization, last year called the crime of the United States in the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Haj Qassem Soleimani illegal.

In a report, while rejecting the claims of American officials about the reason for the assassination of General Soleimani, Callamard wrote that Washington failed to provide sufficient evidence to justify the reason for this attack.

In Iraq, the parliament of this country passed a plan in December 2018 following the terrorist act of the United States, which demanded the expulsion of foreign forces from the country.

In another part of his speech, Gavito referred to Hashd al-Shaabi forces as “paramilitary militias supporting Iran” and claimed in interventionist statements that these forces cannot be considered part of the official security system of Iraq.

Putin said about the world order under the leadership of the West, known as the “law-based order”: “No one knows who made these world laws, and the only existing law is that the powers can do whatever they want.”

The Russian president referred to Western culture as “elimination culture” and said: “elimination culture is reminiscent of Nazi book burnings. “They have removed the culture of freedom of thought.”

He added that even at the height of the Cold War, no one thought of removing the culture and art of the opposing sides.

Putin said: “Now different views seem subversive and a threat to democracy; “Liberalism has changed beyond imagination and reached the point of absurdity.”

The Russian president claimed that the West is promoting certain consumption patterns to develop markets for its own products. He said that the West imposes sanctions even against its allies.

Putin also emphasized that the unipolar order is coming to an end. He said that the West is not able to rule the world in a tyrannical way.

He also said: “There are at least two Wests.” The first is the traditional West with a rich culture, and the second is militant and colonialist. Russia does not consider itself an enemy of the West and tried to establish a relationship with the West and NATO and live in peace and harmony with them. Their response to all these collaborations was negative.

The Russian president also said that as long as nuclear weapons exist, there is always a risk of their use. He also claimed that the next decade will be the most dangerous decade since the end of World War II.

Putin also criticized the British Prime Minister Liz Truss in criticizing the space-building of Western countries regarding the possibility of Russia using nuclear weapons. He said that Russia never said that it will use nuclear weapons as a preventive measure and only mentioned this issue. Putin stated that he had explicitly threatened to use these weapons in front of Liz Truss.
