Putin praises Russian-Chinese military relations and cooperation

According to Fars International News Agency, Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu, who has traveled to Moscow, met and consulted with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin Palace.
According to the TASS news agency, Putin told the Chinese Defense Minister in this meeting: Russian-Chinese military cooperation will help strengthen strategic and trust-based relations between the two countries.
The Russian president praised the comprehensive and successful cooperation between Moscow and Beijing. He said: I think this is another important area that will strengthen the strategic and trust-oriented character of our relations.
Putin also told Shangfu: The defense ministers of Russia and China have exchanged useful information and held joint exercises.
The Russian President recalled the official visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Russia in March; When the cooperation between the ministries of defense was one of the important topics on the agenda.
Addressing the Chinese Defense Minister who gave him a military salute when he met, Putin said: The Chinese Defense Minister has a very rich work plan in Russia. We are glad to see you. I am sure that your meeting will be held at the highest possible level. Welcome to Russia.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was also present in this meeting.
According to the press release of the Russian Defense Ministry, Li and Shoigu are expected to discuss the status and prospects of bilateral defense cooperation as well as important global and regional security issues during their talks. This is Li’s first foreign trip since taking over as China’s defense minister in March.
