Quarantine African players working in Serie A if they participate in the African Cup of Nations

According to Tasnim News Agency, following the insistence of the organizers of the African Cup of Nations on holding the competition on time, Italian football officials warned that any African legionnaire working in Serie A who wants to participate in the African Cup of Nations may return. They will be forced to undergo quarantine, which will prevent them from accompanying their club team more than they think.

Radio Monte Carlo recently reported that the African Cup of Nations may be postponed again due to the growing number of coroners in the Black Continent. It was not long before the African Confederation declared the news a lie and assured that the competitions scheduled for January in Cameroon would remain in place.

This is not the only concern of the Europeans about holding the African Cup of Nations, because when they release their African players to return to the Green Continent, Serie A enters a tight and sensitive period.

In an interview with Radio Ponto Nou, Fabio Chiciliano, a member of the Italian government’s scientific and technical committee that sets the protocol for controlling the outbreak of corona in the country, said that even the current protocols for the outbreak of corona can be problematic and may There is a need to intensify these protocols.

“In the current situation, the arrival of Cameroonian travelers to Italy requires a negative corona test 72 hours before their flight to our country,” he said. After that, they must pass a 10-day quarantine when entering the country, and then take another coronary test, which, if negative, will allow them to leave the quarantine.

This means that if a player goes to the African Cup of Nations, it will take at least 10 to 13 days to return to Serie A to be able to resume training with his club team.
