According to the visual correspondent of Fars News Agency, in the Museum of Archeology and Islamic Art of the National Museum of Iran, ancient Quranic manuscripts and musafirs are kept, the oldest of which is in Kufic script.

The collection of ancient Qurans in the Kufic script of the National Museum of Iran belongs to the third and fourth centuries AH, and most of them have been dedicated to the tomb of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili by the Safavid kings after restoration and binding. The tomb of Shah Ismail I (the first Safavid king) and his mother is in this tomb.

For example, one of these noble Mus’hafs, which is one of the endowments of Shah Abbas Safavid to the tomb of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili in 1037 AH, is written in Kufic script on the skin and belongs to the fourth lunar AH, which has dimensions of 17.5 ۶ 26.3 It has centimeters.

Part of the Qur’an in Kufic script on deer skin in a small oval cut 7 lines on the page, the first and last page has a religious text with a palm leaf design in the margin, the head of the surahs in gold line and with a palm leaf design in the margin, the symbols are sandy. The percussion red leather cover with elastic and bergamot motifs, inside the hinged mosaic, with a drumbed head engraved with gold, the cover was made and annexed in the 12th century AH.
