Charso Press: Rahim Nowrozi He said: In this performance, we show concepts such as birth, extinction and the desire for immortality. Of course, there is no need to explain these concepts before implementation. I have promised myself not to speak on my behalf in any media. I am saying this because of the necessity of introducing the implementation and informing.
In this performance, we show concepts such as birth, extinction and the desire for immortalityHe added: We do not have a written play for this performance, and this work was formed with the consensus of all the group members and based on my improvisation and guidance.
Nowrozi said: In this show, there are some stories from Sadegh Hedayat, Gholamhossein Saedi, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Antoine Chukhov, Franz Kafka, Haruki Murakami and poems by Christian Boben we have. But there is no trace of this in the show. In the end, a work is integrated that no one can say, for example, this part of the show is taken from the story Mourning It is Chekhov. Our effort is to strengthen the visual aspect of the performance with the least stage facilities.
Rahim Norouzi’s strange interest in Japanese art
He said about the idea of forming work: I had a workshop in Dezful. On my way back, under the light of dawn, I saw a dry tree with a stork’s nest standing out in the lower third of the tree trunk. Two storks were sitting on the upper branches. The image was very similar to Japanese watercolor paintings. I took a photo of this scene that became the poster image of the show. Nowrozi noted: I have a strange interest in Japanese culture and art, calligraphy, paintings and samurai customs. These are always attractive to me and make me happy.
I have a strange interest in Japanese culture and art, calligraphy, paintings and samurai customsMy nighttime hobby is looking at paintings
Nowrozi also said: My nighttime hobby is looking at Japanese paintings. I wanted to make a performance from the connection of visual arts, calligraphy and drama.
He pointed out: In this show, we see the mythological concepts of mother, birth, death and rebirth. Our life begins with a name and ends with a name on a tombstone. We are nothing but a name in existence.
The theme of loneliness is one of the eternal pains of mankind
He added: For me, the tree is a symbol of eternal loneliness on earth. It’s like if a person becomes stagnant, he is like a tree that cannot move. My guess is that if we do not take control of our lives, we will not have any interference in our life and existence, and this raging river will take us nowhere. Loneliness is one of my pains and at the same time one of my needs.
Nowrozi said: Human being needs to be alone but is afraid of being alone. The necessity of living in human society has made us suffer this painful panic. Being born, being born somewhere, living with others, working for a living, imitating our predecessors, trying to innovate and create, proving our existence and death… are the inevitable things of our existence. Man is born alone and leaves alone. While he lives with all the people around him. Becoming an island is a mythical expression.
Robinson Crusoe is the law of nature
Robinson Crusoe is the law of nature, the rest are the symptoms of civilization and modernity imposed on human nature. The issue of language, writing, words and verbal communication is also one of the main themes of this performance, which is displayed on stage with little attention to visual arts.
Nowrozi said: For this show, we were not looking for style, naming or anything. Some people said that theater is insignificant, but this is not the case.
This actor and theater director said: I am not a follower of anyone and a play was not written by reading a book and imitating someone. Everything that exists is the result of our living world.
