Raisi and Erdoğan’s discussion about regional developments

According to Economy Online, on the sidelines of the 16th meeting of the ECO Economic Cooperation Organization, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met and talked with Hojjatul Islam Seyed Ebrahim Raisi.
In this meeting, the president described Iran-Turkey relations as expanding and emphasized on the provision of the ground for further development of relations, especially in the commercial and economic sector, and its promotion to higher levels.
Raisi considered the oil and gas sector as one of the two countries’ favorite areas of cooperation and, pointing to the very good capacities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this field, expressed hope that the two countries would take more effective steps in this field at the current stage.
In another part of the meeting, the President considered the issue of Palestine and the terrible crimes of the Zionist usurper regime in Gaza to be the most important concern of the two countries today, but also the Islamic world and humanity, and while appreciating the Turkish President’s supportive stance towards the people of Gaza, he stated: We believe that in the current situation Beyond the declaration of positions, practical steps should be taken for an immediate ceasefire, lifting the blockade of Gaza and providing aid to the oppressed people of this region.
