Takht-e Ravanchi also said about the six-month meeting of the Security Council on Borjam and Resolution 2231: “We heard strong messages in support of the revival of Borjam.”

The Iranian ambassador to the United Nations stated: “Now the United States and the European Union must fulfill their responsibilities and return to the full implementation of their obligations under the UN Security Council.” They have to decide. We hope they take this opportunity.

Takht-e Ravanchi continued: “As we have stated many times, the only solution is the commitment of all parties to the full, effective and verifiable implementation of Borjam; No more, no less.

He stressed: “Obviously, Iran must be guaranteed that all sanctions will be lifted; The United States will not withdraw from Borjam again and will not abuse the mechanisms of Borjam and Resolution 2231.

According to IRNA, Takht-e Ravanchi said in a speech at a meeting of the Security Council on Tuesday evening, local time, regarding the implementation of Borjam and Resolution 2231: “Iran is determined to use all its efforts to revive Borjam, as it was.”
He stressed: “In this regard, our proposals in Vienna are fully in line with the provisions of UNHCR and Resolution 2231.” We have proven our real political will, seriousness and constructive interaction with other parties to reach a good agreement as soon as possible. The other parties must now prove that they really want the effective and conscientious acceptance and implementation of all their obligations under the UN Security Council.

Ali Bagheri Kani, the chief negotiator of the Islamic Republic of Iran, also said: “If the other side has the serious will and practical readiness to fulfill all its obligations under the UN Security Council, we will be able to reach an agreement accepted by both parties in a short time.”

According to IRNA on Tuesday, Ali Bagheri Kani said in an interview: “What we are emphasizing in these talks, and which has already been emphasized by the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and other senior officials, is that in the negotiations Vienna Our main priority is to lift all illegal and oppressive sanctions imposed on the Iranian people over the years.

He added: “The sanctions that have been imposed and re-imposed on the Iranian nation are in contradiction with international laws, international regulations, international principles and also with the international agreement called Borjam, and it is also contrary to UN Security Council Resolution 2231.”

“What is clear in our view is that any sanctions that are contrary to the UN Security Council should be lifted immediately, whether they were imposed during the Obama administration or Trump or Biden, they should all be lifted,” Bagheri Kenny said in part. To be. This includes all sanctions related to Barjam. They must also be fixed. Accordingly, all sanctions imposed on the so-called maximum pressure campaign should be lifted because they were related to Barjam.

The Iranian diplomat added: “Apart from the Islamic Republic of Iran, the other P5 + 1 countries and even the new US administration all agree on this issue and acknowledge that the previous US administration took an illegal step out of the UN Security Council and That is why the new government, the Biden government, wants to reverse this wrongdoing and they want to return to the 2015 agreement.
