With Instagram’s new Recap Reels feature, you can publish your selected reels of the year as a unified collection to your followers.
With the unveiling of the new Rails Recap feature, Instagram joins other popular apps like Spotify and BeReal that offer an engaging way to watch content produced all at once. The social platform is rolling out a new template for the Rails feature that gives users a customizable way to share up to 14 photos and videos per year to their followers.
To create a seamless recap of your own reel collection, you can now find the “Create your own recap reel” option at the top of your feed. If this option doesn’t appear yet, check your Instagram reel templates and select the recap reel 2022 feature. According to Meta’s spokesperson, the Recap Rails feature will be available for all regions within the next few weeks.
Last year, Instagram released a personalization-based feature for the annual review that allowed users to share up to 10 stories with their followers. After the success of Spotify’s “Wrapped” feature, which was released to provide users with selected songs of the year, in the form of a collection, other programs such as BeReal have also tried to add this feature to their platforms.
