Registration of more than 600,000 people staying in Tehran during Nowruz

According to Moj News Agency, Parham Janfshan, Director General of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts of Tehran Province, said: “By aggregating the statistics of more than 600,000 people, overnight stays from March 17, 2001 to April 4, 1401 have been registered in Tehran Province.”

Announcing this news, Parham Janfshan added: With the official announcement of the head of the professional community of hotels, hotel apartments, and boarding houses in Tehran province, Tehran accommodation centers experienced an indescribable presence of tourists during Nowruz 1401, which is unprecedented since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution.

Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Tehran Province said: Tehran in Nowruz in previous years had the lowest occupancy rate of residential centers compared to its annual average, but during Nowruz 1401 residential centers experienced an average occupancy rate of over 85%.

He added: “According to the announcement of the provincial road control center, the number of vehicles entering the province was 5 million 500 thousand vehicles, which has increased by 22% compared to last year.”
