According to the ITHome website, the Huawei P9 software update with EVA-TL00 8.0.0.558 C01 firmware has been released in China. The approximate size of this update will be 318 MB.

According to the changes menu of this software update, P9 will be equipped with the latest security patches. In addition, the smart search feature will be improved, which will be available through swipe down on the home screen. This search includes online data and offline files of the phone and its speed increases. Operating system stability and user interface are other benefits of this update.

In the new Huawei P9 update that has just been released, a folder will be added to the home screen that suggests your apps to use. There are also quick download icons for Education Center and Link Now, but some default apps like AutoNavi and WPS Office will be removed from the phone. However, users can download these apps at their own discretion from the Huawei App Store.

Unfortunately, we still do not know if this software update will be released for the global versions of P9; But with smart charging added to all models last year, the update will likely be available in different countries.
