Rembrandt 4-core processor spotted – RDNA 2 for budget notebooks

It looks like AMD is planning to introduce a new, low-end APU to its current lineup. In fact, Rembrandt 4-core processor with two Zen 3 Plus and RDNA 2 architectures in the Geekbench 5 database Benchleaks was observed.
Geekbench 5 database of a new model of the Rembradnt family with OPN code 100-000000552-40_Y is showing. No name has been listed for this chip, but its specifications indicate that it has 4 cores and 8 threads of the Zen 3 Plus. The said architecture is an optimized version of the 7nm Zen 3 architecture, which is produced with 6nm manufacturing technology.
In terms of clock speed, the APU uses a base frequency of 2.90 GHz and a boost of 4.14 GHz. Also, 8 megabytes of level three cache and 2 megabytes of level two cache are considered for it and it is also compatible with the current FP7 socket. The RDNA 2 GFX1035 integrated graphics with 3 computing units or 192 stream processors and 1600 MHz clock is another important part of the chip.
4-core Rembrandt processor was observed
We know that two integrated graphics are used in the current Rembradnt lineup. Radeon 680M sample with 12 computing units and Radeon 660M sample with 6 computing units; Therefore, the new integrated graphics also has half of the 660M computing units. Most likely, the name of this model is Radeon 640M, but we cannot say for sure yet.
Currently, the only 4-core APUs in the Ryzen laptop lineup are the Barcelo family examples, such as the Ryzen 3 5425U, which has a base frequency of 2.7 GHz and a boost frequency of 4.1 GHz. This APU uses 6 graphics computing units based on the old Vega architecture and a 1500 MHz clock.

Based on the performance results, the new Rembrandt APU performs closely with the Ryzen 3 5425U, which is probably due to its engineering sample. In terms of graphics, RDNA 2 with 3 computing units has the same performance as Vega 11 with 11 computing units. In general, this processor seems very suitable for low-end devices and we will probably see its release very soon.
