Reminiscence play with Gohar Khairandish in Rahmanian’s play

Charso Press: This playwright and theater director says about his latest activities: These days I write more and I don’t have any plans to perform at the moment, and besides writing new works, I am preparing some of the plays I have written before for publication.
The plays Rahmanian has prepared for publication, some have been staged under the direction of other artists, some have been directed by himself, and some have been written by him to work with his young students in acting classes.
This writer informs that the plays “Radio Days”, “Hamun Bazha”, “Selfie”, “Confidential Report to Octavio Valdez” (Maternal) are among his works that will be published soon.
Rahmanian previously staged the play “Hamon Bazaha” in Vahdat Hall, which is about the documentary “Hamon Bazaha” by Mani Haghighi.
The play “Radio Days” is among the unsuccessful works of this artist, whose performance was not completed after a few limited performances due to the closure of the theater during the Corona epidemic.
The play “Selfie” includes 20 short plays that Rahmanian wrote to work with the students of his acting classes at Aftab Institute, but among all these plays, the play “Confidential Report…” is a nostalgic work. The text was performed in the 1960s and the theater audience remembers the performance of Goharkhirandish, Siavash Temmorth and Mehdi Miami in this work.
Rahmanian explains about the writing and performance of this text: In writing the play “Confidential Report…” I was influenced by the play “Stronger” by Strindberg and “The Long Christmas Dinner” by Thornton Wilder. Of course, Mr. Radi also has a similar experience in the play “From Behind the Glass”. In all these plays, we see the events of several years in one scene.
He recalls: this show was staged in the city theater in the mid-60s. In the beginning, Farhad Majdabadi directed it, but after he migrated abroad, Sadegh Hatfi took over the direction of the work.
Simultaneously with the performance of this play, Jamshid Ismailkhani also performed the play “And Christ will never cry” written by Mohammad Charmshir. That is, both of our plays were on stage at the same time. The play “Charmshir” was performed in Chaharsu Hall, and the play “Secret Report…” was performed in Qashqai Hall of Teatarshahr.
Rahmanian, who has been working with “Chalcheleh” publishing house for some time, entrusted the publishing of the mentioned plays to this publishing house and says that he is very satisfied with working with this publishing house. The plays “Confidential Report…” and “Selfie” are published as two experimental plays in one volume, and Hossein Alishiri also cooperates with this publication as a consultant for this series of plays.
