Repairs to the damaged section of the Firoozabad Fars sodium carbonate plant began



According to IRNA, Hamed Maram told reporters on Wednesday: “Until today (June 16), 6 people are hospitalized in Hazrat Ghaem (AS) Hospital in Firoozabad, 5 of whom have recovered and are on the verge of discharge.”

He stressed: “This event shows the readiness of the workforce in the face of accidents and safety, about four-fifths of which left the factory without any problems.”

According to IRNA, this factory in 1399 with a production capacity of 320,000 tons and with an investment of 2,670 billion tomans and direct employment of 1,015 people and more than 3,000 people indirectly by the then president through video conference Started his work.

With 8 limestone and salt mines, this complex, as the largest sodium carbonate factory in the Middle East, has met the consumption needs of the country’s sodium carbonate and has also provided the ground for export.

Sodium carbonate is one of the raw materials in glass, crystal, detergent, cosmetics, health and textile and tanning industries, food, paper and chemical industries.

Firoozabad is located 93 km south of Shiraz.
