Although Atrium was able to reach two new price highs in 2021, the growth rate of the network’s new addresses has not had much to do with price increases. About 10 million new addresses have been created in this network since October.
While the total number of addresses has increased, the ratio of active to inactive addresses in this network has decreased. Overall, as of January 1, 2021, active addresses accounted for 0.5 percent of all addresses. On April 25 (May 5, 1400) this ratio reached 1.66 percent; But on February 15, it fell to 0.86 percent.
Since the beginning of 2021, the number of whales holding more than 1,000 atriums has decreased. Glassnode, an in-house data analysis firm, reported on February 13 that the number of whale wallets had reached its lowest level in four years, at 6,226.
According to data from the Ycharts site, the network’s average daily transactions have remained stable at around 1.2 million since mid-December. This could be due to higher fees and cheaper and faster alternatives that operate in the form of second tier networks and side chains. With the increase in the use of Paligan network in May, the average daily volume of transactions in this side chain reached more than double the Atrium network. Currently, about 3 million transactions are made daily in the Paligan network.
