Researcher in the field of humanities: In radio and television, we should narrate ourselves for the new generation rather than exposing the enemy

Alireza Samii, a researcher in the field of humanities and a media activist, said to the correspondent of Fars News Agency’s Andisheh section about the need to answer doubts in radio and media: I think the answer is very clear, we must answer them and finally If we want to deal with it in a deeper way, hold a round table debate and have people sit around it and discuss the issues. I think that the issues that are raised in the public such as Tathir Pahlavi and Rajavi have been answered and basically there are specific answers about it.

We have to narrate ourselves

He added: In my opinion, in line with intellectual issues, rather than exposing the other side and disclosure, which of course is good and necessary in its own place, we should narrate our own situation, today we need professors to come. and to narrate and recount the thoughts and the current situation on the radio. In many cases, we need these issues more than answering doubts.

You should tell the young man that you are present on the stage

This humanities researcher further said about intellectual work and thought for the new generation: I disagree with saying that we lost the 80s, because despite the dire cultural situation, we are still witnessing the 80s with passion and Enthusiasm and seriousness are present and active in various religious rituals and even political events. It should not be expected that the radio will come and pull everyone towards itself with a program. In line with my previous statement about the narrative, I should add that the new generation should not be thought of as being on the sidelines and we will do whatever it takes, no! It should be their duty to see themselves in the scene of the present narrative; For example, did the defenders of the shrine have a special duty? No, it is the sense of responsibility in the scene that made them make this sacrifice. for the new generation; In the media environment, it is our essential issue to express this narrative that should come and play a role, the thoughts of the new generation should be directed in this direction.

Is there an intellectual program on radio or not?

Sami pointed out: There are two types of general ideas about holding intellectual programs. One is that basically, the presence of thinkers and experts on television is a destructive and harmful idea, so television is not the place to raise intellectual issues. On the other hand, some agree with the presence of thinkers, but they believe; Since the audience is the general public, these contents should be expressed in a simple way. But the truth is that if we accept that we are surrounded by the media, we must follow another way, and that is to try to penetrate the issues by expressing a new narrative, without simplifying the concepts or removing the issues raised for the audience. And make it understandable for people.

In the end, he stated: Some people in ancient Greece attributed phenomena to gods and goddesses, fertility in agriculture, love, victory, etc. were all attributed to them; But philosophers came to explain this mysterious atmosphere with their narration. Basically, if we refer to the history of thought, we will see that the development of science and philosophy was in a place where, on the one hand, the need to understand a prominent issue was prominent, and on the other hand, these phenomena seemed impenetrable. In order to raise intellectual issues in the media, we must have our own narrative, without wanting to trivialize or minimize the issues.
