Restrictions on the relationship of American officials with social networks have been canceled – Mehr News Agency Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr News Agency, quoted by Reuters, the decision of the New Orleans Court of Appeals means that the government temporarily does not have to follow the decision of the first court in the state of Louisiana issued on July 6. The judge of the said court believed that the efforts of the authorities to limit the posts on the social network that they consider to be fake news actually violate the freedom of expression.

But the Court of Appeal announced on Friday that a hearing will soon be held to review the government’s request to change the decision of the primary court with the presence of 3 judges.

Of course, the decision of the first court was also temporary, which means that this decision was implemented until the judge examines the case further. The ruling came as a result of a complaint filed by conservative attorneys general in Louisiana and Missouri, as well as several individuals.

They believed that US government officials under President Joe Biden as well as Donald Trump have forced social networks to censor posts due to concerns about creating doubts among people about vaccination during the Corona pandemic or elections.

The social networks mentioned in the complaint were Meta (Facebook’s parent company), Twitter, Alphabet and YouTube.
