Returning to the JCPOA, the focus of the consultation between the foreign ministers of France and Qatar



According to IRNA’s report on Tuesday, quoting from the website of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna And Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani In a working lunch that was held in Paris yesterday, they emphasized the need to strengthen efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East and the commitment of the two countries to find a two-state solution.

Regarding Iran, the French Foreign Minister also thanked Qatar for its efforts in the framework of negotiations to return to the JCPOA and emphasized the importance of regional dialogue to reduce tensions in the Middle East.

The desire to continue deepening the strategic partnership between France and Qatar in the political, economic and energy dimensions is one of the other axes of this working lunch.

According to this report, the foreign ministers of France and Qatar discussed the prospect of strengthening economic relations between Paris and Doha, including mutual investment in production sectors and strengthening cooperation in the field of energy supply.

Discussions on regional and international issues, including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as well as the military conflict in Ukraine, which has caused a global food crisis and tension in global hydrocarbon markets, have been announced as other axes of this meeting.

On July 7, the foreign ministers of Qatar and France discussed the developments related to the JCPOA and the importance of regional dialogue with Iran.
