Reuters: The Emir of Qatar is traveling to Iran and Europe to revive Borjam and supply energy

According to Fars News Agency’s International Service, the media wrote on Sunday that the Emir of Qatar’s visit to Tehran and European countries is an attempt to revive Borjam and supply energy, including natural gas, following the Russia-Ukraine war.
According to the news agency “ReutersAn informed source said on Sunday that the Emir of Qatar is expected to visit Iran, Germany, Britain and other European countries in the coming days on a trip expected to restore order and energy security in Europe.
“Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the ruler of Qatar, one of the world’s largest exporters of natural gas, will visit Iran and then travel to Britain and other EU member states,” the source, who did not want to be named, said: “It will be officially announced.”
“The main focus of the talks is how to fill the gap in the nuclear talks that have stalled since March, as well as the issue of natural gas and energy security in the European part of the trip,” the source told Reuters.
According to Reuters, Iranian state media reported on Sunday that the Emir of Qatar would travel to Iran to strengthen ties, but did not provide an exact date or details.
Germany and other European countries are seeking to strengthen energy ties with Qatar amid fears of supply and rising prices in the wake of the Ukraine conflict, as they seek alternatives to Russian gas.
Meanwhile, the Qatari Minister of Energy has said that no country has the ability to replace Russian liquefied natural gas to Europe in the event of a disruption. The informed source also said that the purpose of the Emir of Qatar’s visit to Tehran is to try to play a new mediating role in reviving Borjam.
Earlier, the Wall Street Journal quoted Western diplomats as saying that European officials were preparing for a new push to salvage a nuclear deal with Iran and offered to send EU chief negotiator Enrique Mora to Tehran. It is trying to get out of the “current stalemate” in the negotiations.
According to the alleged Wall Street Journal, the agreement is difficult due to Iran’s requests to cancel the designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a “terrorist” organization, and Biden does not facilitate or remove the conditions for its cancellation.
The American media wrote that Iran did not agree with the US proposal that the IRGC terrorist title could be removed if Tehran agreed not to attack the Americans in the region or to assassinate current and former officials. US officials say that even if the designation is removed, the IRGC will still face several more sanctions against Washington.
End of message.
