Revival of the traditional four-legged reading ritual in Karaj

According to the report of Aria Heritage, quoting the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Alborz Province, Fereydoun Mohammadi announced this news on Tuesday, November 25, 1400, saying: “Alborz fans and the General Directorate of Endowments and Charity Affairs of the province were revived.”
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Alborz stated: “The old will continue in other ceremonies as well.”
Referring to the historical and spiritual value of the holy shrines of Alborz, he said: “With the announcement of the Corona Anti-Corruption Headquarters, observance of health protocols and the expansion of public vaccination, religious ceremonies have been held and welcomed in the holy shrines of Karaj.”
“The four-legged reading ceremony is an ancient relic, the revival and reconstruction of which will help to understand the religious and traditional traditions and customs left over from the past,” he added.
Emphasizing the need to preserve, protect and revive old traditions, Mohammadi noted: “Traditional four-legged reading ceremonies as intangible heritage are in the group of habits, social customs, celebrations and the branch of rituals and ceremonies related to the lunar year.”
