According to the political reporter of Fars news agency, Rostam Ghasemi, the former Minister of Roads and Urban Development and one of the relics of the Holy Defense era, died after a period of enduring illness and joined his martyred comrades on the martyrdom day of Hazrat Zahra (PBUH).

Last year and a few months after the late Ghasemi was elected to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, signs of illness appeared in him, but he continued his duties with all his might while starting treatment. Unfortunately, his illness worsened about two months ago. For his sake, he asked the president to agree to his resignation and after Ayatollah Raisi agreed to resign, he immediately began a serious treatment process, but unfortunately, the progress of the cancer was such that the treatment did not work, and finally, today, his family and all his friends and comrades are in mourning. He mourned his loss.

The record of service of the late Ghasemi, whether during the period of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, or in the previous numerous responsibilities in the Ministry of Oil, Khatam Al-Anbiya camp and supporting the proud movement of resistance, will be a brilliant record and a source of honor for that serving, people-oriented and state-oriented element in this world and the hereafter, God willing.
