Russia closed the gas valve sent to Europe without opening it

According to Fars International Economic Group, quoted by Reuters, Russia’s Gazprom Company announced on Friday that due to the discovery of a leak during a joint turbine inspection with Siemens Company, the supply of liquefied natural gas from the Nord Stream 1 pipeline is still blocked.
Until the leak is repaired, the turbine cannot operate safely, the company said, and there is no timetable for resuming gas supplies through the pipeline.
This turbine was supposed to resume its operation in the early hours of today after a 3-day shutdown.
Gazprom announced in its statement that the oil leak detection report was also signed by Siemens representatives
The Russian energy giant quoted Siemens as saying that the necessary repairs will only be carried out “in the conditions of a specialized workshop”.
In this statement, a picture of the oil sitting on the equipment of the compressor station is also presented.
The Nord Stream 1 pipeline passes under the Baltic Sea to supply gas to Germany and other countries; The pipeline was also operating at only 20 percent of its capacity before a three-day shutdown this week for maintenance.
According to Gazprom, EU sanctions have created technical problems that cannot supply the full volume of contracted gas through the pipeline.
