Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement that Moscow was concerned about the infiltration of terrorists from Afghanistan into Central Asia under the guise of humanitarian slogans and calls for help for refugees.
According to Sputnik, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova said: “Concerns about the migration situation around Afghanistan, concern over the possibility of terrorist and extremist elements infiltrating the territory of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries, especially “Central Asia is covered by humanitarian slogans and calls for help for refugees.”
Zakharova added that Moscow was concerned about the infiltration of terrorists from Afghanistan into Central Asia under the pretext of humanitarian slogans.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov would meet with Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Dushanbe on Thursday to discuss Afghanistan.
“It is planned to meet with the Pakistani Foreign Minister. The focus of the talks will be on Afghanistan and further coordination of efforts, including in the framework of the expanded troika of Russia, the United States and China,” Maria Zakharova told a news conference. “And Pakistan is there to ensure stability and security in Afghanistan and the whole region.”
