Russia: US Arms Assistance to Ukraine Increases Risk of Moscow-Washington Conflict

According to IRNA, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, while announcing this issue, condemned the evaluation of the new package of US military aid to Ukraine, including the supply of Himaras missile systems.

“We consider this completely negative, because it is useless to try to portray this decision as an element of ‘restraint,'” Russia’s deputy foreign minister told RIA Novosti, referring to the White House announcing the approval of a new package of military aid to Ukraine. It is obvious that the United States is at the top of the list of countries involved in the targeted pumping of weapons to Ukraine.

According to Ryabkov, Washington is doing nothing to find a solution to the Ukraine crisis. Since last fall, when Moscow sought to ensure Russia’s security, the State Department has seen no sign of US readiness to end de-escalation.

Earlier, the White House announced that the United States would provide a new package of military assistance to Ukraine on Wednesday, including Himaras multi-role missile systems. According to the RIA Novosti news agency, these Himara systems are not capable of hitting targets outside Ukraine.
