Russian defense shot down the Ukrainian missile


According to Fars International News Agency, “Sergei Aksionov”, the President of the Republic of Crimea, announced on Saturday (April 8th) that the Russian air defense shot down a missile fired by Ukraine over the peninsula.

According to the Sputnik news agency, Oleg Kryuchkov, Aksionov’s advisor, said that the air defense systems were engaged in the Feodosia region of Crimea. Aksionov then announced in a telegram: A missile fired from the Ukrainian side was shot down over Feodosia.

Kryuchkov, his advisor, explained that the remains of the missile fell near one of the Crimean towns and no casualties or damage have been reported yet.

Recently, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced that the country’s army repelled Ukraine’s attempt to carry out a large-scale drone attack on the Crimean Peninsula.

Earlier, the spokesman of the Kremlin Palace rejected the statements of the advisor of the President of Ukraine about the non-attack of Kiev on Russian territory. “Dmitry Peskov” also called the statements of the Ukrainian authorities that the Crimean Peninsula was taken back from Moscow’s control impossible, and explained during a press conference in the Kremlin: “It is impossible to return Crimea to Ukraine, because this region is an inseparable part of the territory of the Russian Federation.”
