According to the correspondent of Fars News Agency, citing Bloomberg, the statistics show that during the last week, the export of Russian oil by sea has reached the highest level in the last 10 months. In fact, during this period, Russia has exported 3.8 million more barrels of oil using sea transportation, which has increased by 30%.
This amount of Russian oil exports was equal to 876 thousand barrels per day, of which 626 thousand barrels were exported through the Baltic Sea. At the same time, Russian oil exports from the country’s ports in the Black Sea have also increased by 47%.
In fact, the amount of Russian oil exports from the sea increased by 550 thousand barrels per day in the week ending January 13 and reached more than 3 million barrels per day. Statistics show that Russia has increased its oil exports to Asia and has practically not sent any cargo to Europe.
Since December 5, the European Union, G7 countries and Australia have set a price ceiling of $60 per barrel for Russian oil. A similar measure was implemented by Canada, America, Japan and England against Russia.
These sanctions have increased the time it takes to transfer Russian oil to customers, while before this Russia used to send its shipments to Holland or Poland in about a week, but now it takes about a month for these shipments to reach India.
