Safari explained: Consultations for concluding the Persian Gulf-Black Sea Corridor Agreement

The Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy also addressed the sixth meeting of the “National Working Group on Transport and Transit Diplomacy”, which was hosted by the Chabahar Free Zone in that city on January 20.

According to him, in this meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the Chabahar Logistics Conference, managers of relevant departments including the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, Customs, Ministry of Silence, Roads, Shipping, Railways, Chamber of Commerce, Ministry of Interior, Parliamentary Research Center, Infrastructure Company And the Ministry of Foreign Affairs discussed ways to develop Chabahar’s unique position in regional and international multimodal transport and transit, and identified the existing problems with the aim of providing a solution. At the end, Safari referred to the current negotiations for concluding the “Persian Gulf-Black Sea Corridor Agreement” (Iran, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Bulgaria and Greece) and said: the sixth round of these negotiations is scheduled for May next year in Sofia, Bulgaria. Informal preparations are underway with the ambassadors of the agreement member states in Tehran and other capitals, so that, God willing, we will soon see the emergence of an important transport corridor with various routes to facilitate trade between the countries of the region and the outside world.
