Salari: Serial closure of music concerts is not true

According to the art reporter of Fars News Agency, Mahmoud Salari, the deputy art minister of culture, in response to the news of the serial closure of concerts in Tehran, denied this news and asked the media and the public as well as artists to be careful so that the virtual space does not lead us astray.
In an interview with the media, Salari said about the news published about the serial closure of music concerts in the country: “This is mischief and such news is not true. The Ministry of Interior has announced that the institution’s hall has a technical defect, other halls are active and music concerts are held in them; “There are waves in cyberspace that are not true.”
Although many artistic activities are being held in the country every day, the negative media try to show the cultural atmosphere of the country as if artistic activities are closed. To reveal these virtual lies, it is enough to visit theaters, art galleries and music concerts to witness artistic performances held every day.
The artistic deputy said: “Last year, about 4,300 music concerts were held in the whole country, and it is natural that some of these concerts were disrupted due to technical problems in the hall or any other reason, but this does not mean that the process “The whole holding of concerts has been disrupted or the process of holding them has been hindered by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.”
Not long ago, Iranian music singer Mohammad Motamedi also released a text in response to the rumor of banning and canceling some concerts, which had many repercussions in the country’s artistic scene. In this short text, Motamedi wrote: “The news of the banning of a number of music artists is a lie and a rumor. Such rumors will worsen the chaotic situation of the country’s music.”
