Schultz: In a hurry, we have a chance to reach an agreement in Vienna! Mehr News Agency Iran and world’s news

In his speech at the Munich Security Conference, German Chancellor Olaf Schultz claimed that the chances of reviving the 2015 nuclear deal were dwindling and that now was the time for Iran to face the truth.

He added: “We now have a chance to reach an agreement that will lead to the lifting of sanctions. But if this does not happen quickly, the negotiations run the risk of failing.

Schultz eventually threw the ball to the other side, claiming that Iran now had a choice.

This is the claim of the German Chancellor, while last Wednesday, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian made similar claims, saying: “It is only a few days before a decision is reached that will save the 2015 nuclear deal, but this is not the case.” It depends on Iran.

The claim comes as Iran says it is in a hurry to reach an agreement in the Vienna talks but does not submit to false deadlines, and that it is up to the West to make a political choice.

Earlier, Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran’s chief negotiator in the Vienna talks, said: “After weeks of intense negotiations, we have come closer to an agreement than ever, but until everything is agreed, nothing has been agreed. Realism, refraining from extravagance and paying attention to the experience of the past four years are necessary to achieve this goal. It is time for our negotiating parties to decide.
